Hey all! Welcome to my weekly style post! Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join other bloggers around blog land who do the same. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice. As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for inspiration, and ways to be stylish, professional, and age appropriate, and I hope to provide inspiration to other women and mothers in similar professions or lifestyles to shop their own closets. You don’t always have to buy something new! I missed my style post from last week, so this week I have double the outfits to share (lucky you)! All of the outfits I am wearing for this post are things that I have worn over the past two weeks.
I love this pop of green with the black and white. And yay! I am finally able to wear my booties! One of the only things I like about Fall! Would you believe I bought this skirt at K Mart a couple of years ago? True story! I was there picking up a prescription and it just jumped out at me.
green skirt- Kmart (old) similar color here and here// plaid shirt similar// booties similar but different color
Nothing recently purchased in this outfit either. I bought these booties at Goodwill recently.
This is a vintage dress from the 1950’s. I bought it on a trip to VA one year. I have been meaning to write a post about how you can incorporate vintage items into your wardrobe in a modern way. I like this combination.
This is such a simple outfit with denim trouser pants, a white blouse, and brown wedges.
Trouser pants similar
The way the sun is in the sky at the time that I usually take pictures outdoors has not been cooperating with me lately. There are funny shadows. So I am struggling right now because I usually take the shots right after I get home from work, so that I can then change and get on with my evening. So we’ll see what happens! This was a very warm day, so I just threw on this denim jacket with this sun dress to “Fall” it up, and although I am wearing sandals, they don’t strike me as really summery.
