Hey all! Welcome to my weekly style post! Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join other bloggers around blog land who do the same. These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion. I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways. I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice. As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for inspiration, and ways to be stylish, professional, and age appropriate, and I hope to provide that same inspiration to other women and mothers in similar professions or lifestyles.
I bought this shirtdress this past Fall, and I am still loving it for Spring. Although, when I was getting ready to go to work the morning I wore this, LC came in and said, “oh, I like it when you have on a shirt and no pants”. IT’S A SHIRT DRESS!!! This shirt dress was out of stock at Gap for a long time, but I am happy to report, it is back, baby! Go get one, pronto, I love this dress! I also love this tassel scarf I bought recently at Marshalls. I wish I could give you a link to it!

I wore this cream jacket with it for the cooler part of the morning, then took it off when it warmed up.

To give you an idea of how versatile this shirt dress is, here are a couple of ways I styled it. On the left was during the Fall, on the right was during winter.
This was just a regular day at work. I have owned these green pants for a couple of years, the striped shirt was thrifted, and the floral cardigan was something my daughter was getting rid of, and I saved it. I have been noticing a lot of nude flats around this Spring, have you?

I bought this striped dress for Spring, and I couldn’t wait to wear it! I love the stripes and the fit. It felt like wearing sweatpants all day, except for the fact that it looks way more dressed up. This dress will be a staple in my closet for years. The peep toe booties are new too for Spring!
I wore this denim jacket with it for most of the day. I work in a cold environment.
I bought this necklace, that I adore, last week in Pennsylvania. We went to an even called Steele City Con, and there was a booth with the most amazing jewelry, and I just wanted to buy every single thing they had. I settled on just one thing, this necklace. It is a vintage magnifying glass made into a necklace, and I heart it big time. And good news, cause this fabulous booth, called Rag Trader Vintage, has a website where you can go and purchase their vintage pieces too! They had vintage compasses, rings made from old typewriter keys, cameos, vintage stop watches, and much more.
This is what I wore to Steel City Con last week when we went. It was raining outside, but I snapped a couple of pictures with my phone. The striped tank is also a recent Spring purchase, and it is currently on sale for $19.99. I love the fit of this tank with the little peplum! The sneakers I am wearing are from Target, and currently on sale for $13.59, just in case you are looking for some cute white sneakers.
