Sweet Parrish Place Style- (Vol. 3)

Hey all!  Welcome to my weekly style post! Every week, I take pictures of my outfits and join the WIWW link party with The Pleated Poppy.  These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion.  I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways.  I wear the clothes I own forever, but I usually don’t wear any item in the exact same way more than once or twice.  After my outfits, I also included some pictures of what my family wore for Halloween- I couldn’t leave that out!

This is my official outfit I wore on Halloween Day.  I think it was my favorite outfit of the week.  I love this plaid scarf, I have another one just like it in red, grey and black.  This one is more orange, cream and navy.  Have you ever wanted to wear a pair of not skinny jeans tucked into boots?  Me too!  I found this Pin that shows you how to tuck your not skinny jeans into tall boots, and it helped me, so I thought it might help you too.  I did this with these jeans and boots.

Jeans- American Eagle (old)
Tall Boots- JCrew (old) similar

Black vest- Eddie Bauer (old) this is their newer version of this vest
plaid shirt- Gap (old) similar, similar
Plaid Scarf- Gap (old) similar

This was camo day at the school wear I work.  You can’t really tell in the pictures, but these pants are camo.  You can see another way I styled these same pants in a completely different way for fall here.
Camo Jeans- Tommy Hilfiger (sold out) similar
Argyle cardigan- The Limited (old)
Blouse- The Limited (old) similar
Black satin flats- similar

This was a typical work day, as usual!  I thought I would try mixing plaid under a colorful sweater.  I didn’t have on that really matched, but I did have this blue and white plaid shirt that is sleeveless, so I wore it.  No one would ever know that it was sleeveless under this sweater.  Don’t forget that sometimes you may have a summer shirt that you can layer under a sweater.  I bought this skirt at the online consignment shop- Twice.  It is an Eddie Bauer skirt, and I bought it for $6.97!  If you like to shop at places like consignment shops, give Twice a try!  You can even sell your clothing there!  And if you use my link to buy, I will get $10 in my account!  And about these new Sperry’s booties I am wearing- They are so comfortable.  A friend was complimenting me on them the other day and asked me about the comfort.  The wedge is rubber, so I don’t even feel like I am wearing heels.  I could walk around all day in these shoes and they would feel just fine.  Now that is a heel I can get behind!

Skirt- Eddie Bauer via Twice
Booties- Macy’s

Sweater- borrowed from my daughter
Plaid sleeveless shirt- Hollister (old)
Necklace- Anthropologie (sold out)

I love this plaid shirt/jacket!  If you read my post about 10 staples for your fall wardrobe, a plaid shirt was one of the items.  I came across this shirt in a vintage clothing store in Pittsburgh.  For those of you who are close to Pittsburgh, the name of the shop is Highway Robbery Vintage and it is on East Carson Street.  Miss 18 Year Old and I fell in love with this store!  She said she would like to own a similar store one day.  The name of the owner is Kate Colussy- super sweet- and she has a truck that she can take a travelling store to other cities, or even do parties.  My daughter would love to have her come down a with her truck to Morgantown and visit the fashion students!  I can wear this shirt/jacket in a variety of ways, and I am so glad I bought it!

Grey skinny pants- Gap
Black Boots- (old) similar here

I love the buttons, I think you can tell by the buttons that it is vintage.  There is no tag in this jacket, and by the way it is made, it looks like it may have been handmade.

paid shirt- Highway Robbery
Striped peplum top- Marshall’s (old) similar here and here

And now for the Halloween pictures!  This is Mr. 6 year old with his little friend.  He was SpongeBob and she was Elsa!

This is Trick or Treat night.  Mr. 14 Year old wore this black fat suit and danced around and handed out candy.

This Minnie Mouse hat served as my Halloween costume for Trick or Treat.  that is about as dressed up as I got this year.  And the mother of the little boys who walked with us was also Minnie Mouse, so we snapped a picture together.

Miss 18 Year Old wore two different costumes this year.  This is the first one.  she is on the left, dressed up as Wednesday from the Addams Family.

And this is her version of an alien I believe.  A little too much skin for me, but what do you do?  Just one more thing you can’t control when they are all grown up!

And this is what she really looks like, for those of you who don’t know her.  She is a fashion student at WVU, and she posted this on Instagram yesterday.  I love this picture because she looks happy, which is all I could hope for.
