My Fall Front Stoop

Hey all!  Last week, our fall mums out front were looking gorgeous, so after work, I busted out the camera to capture them in all of their glory, so that I could share my Fall Front Stoop with you today!  I would say our front stoop d├ęcor this fall is pretty standard- mums and pumpkins.  I didn’t do much on our front stoop for summer because it seems I have a hard time keeping anything alive out here.  We have now spent two summers in this house, and there is no shade at the front, so I have yet to find the perfect flowers that will thrive out here in the heat and sun of the summer.  So I splurged a little more than I usually do on flowers for fall, since I spent practically nothing over the summer.

If you are a regular around here, you might remember that we painted the railing a fresh coat of white in the spring.  That really did wonders for the curb appeal.  Since we moved here we have also painted the front door, but that was before I started this blog.  For over two years since we moved in, this house did not have any house numbers on it, so a couple of weeks ago, I bought these oil rubbed bronze house numbers at Home Depot, and had LC attach them right to the front of the left newel post.  Now people can actually find our house when they come to visit for the first time.  We actually had someone get lost looking for our house a couple of weeks ago, so these were needed!

I bought these large urns last summer at Kmart, and they matched our shutters and front door perfectly.  The only problem with them is that they are so big that I have a hard time filling them up!  So I made sure I bought some really big mums so they would look nice and lush.  You might notice that we already carved a Jack-O-Lantern.  I thought it was a little too early, but Mr. 6 Year Old insisted.  It is Thomas The Train carved into the pumpkin.  Hope it doesn’t rot before Halloween, because it took LC a long time to carve this baby!

The smaller mums are in the containers I bought them in.  I just slapped them where I wanted them, done!

I love this little light green pumpkin that I found.

I bought this spider pumpkin holder several years ago, and I love putting it out each fall.

If you look down the street you will see that a new home is being built not far from us.  I enjoy watching the progress they are making, and can’t wait to see it all finished!  Maybe they will let me walk through it.

I have had this wreath for quite a few years too.  I bought it at a craft fair.  I keep saying I am going to get a new one, but I keep hanging this one out.  The door hanger was purchased at Target last year right after Christmas, but I think it is fine for all seasons, so I keep it hanging.

We actually recently ordered two new outdoor lights for the front of our house.  One for the front stoop and one for between the garage doors.  I can’t wait to get them up!  They will really improve the curb appeal of our house.  Have you seen my Fall Home Tour?  If not, I would love for you to check it out as well!

I hope you enjoyed our Fall Front Stoop!  Later this week I will be sharing a couple of DIY projects from my Fall Home Tour, so I hope you will come back and check them out.  Happy Monday!
