What I Wore Wednesday- August 13, 2014

Hey all!  Welcome to my Weekly WIWW post!  Every week, for several months now, I have been taking pictures of my outfits and joining the WIWW link party with The Pleated Poppy.  These posts are something that I really enjoy, because I have always had a passion for fashion.  I love putting together new outfits, and shopping my own closet to wear things in different ways.

This dress is a vintage dress that I bought at a vintage clothing store in Philadelphia.  When I bought it I wasn’t sure if it was “too much vintage” for me to handle, but I like the way it looks with this military inspired jacket.  The jacket belongs to Miss 18 Year Old.  She leaves for college on Saturday, what am I going to do when I can’t raid her closet anymore??  I can’t remember the brand of this jacket, but when I have a chance I will come back and update this post with a link to it, because she bought it recently.

I struggled with the right shoes for this outfit.  In the end I went with a neutral linen flat that I have had for years.

This is what I wore to a beginning of the year cross country dinner.

White jeans- similar at Gap
Tee- similar at Gap
Coach Sneakers (old)

This was a day at work, new student registration.

Skirt- thrifted
denim jacket- JCPenney
Tommy Hilfiger white polo shirt- Macy’s
White pumps- thrifted

I talked about a new bag I ordered in this post.  Well it finally arrived and I love it so much!  And isn’t the cute elaphant tassel bag charm to die for?  I can’t take credit for this, I totally copied it from Cassie at Hi Sugarplum.  And if you have never checked out her blog, you totally should!    She has the best style.  she carries a black and white striped bag constantly with this charm, and it looks great with every outfit.  I finally decided I had to have the look.  I didn’t  buy her exact bag, because the price was a little steep for me, so I went on the hunt for a striped bag in my budget.  I found this one at Sole Society, and ordered it.  And if you would like to order one too, or anything from sole Society, you can click this link, and if you purchase something I get $25 in store credit!  That is a pretty sweet deal if you ask me!
Elephant bag charm- Furbish Studio

I don’t think I have ever owned a bag with quite so many compartments and pockets.  This bag is awesome, and the quality is so great.

this was a Friday after work, sporting my new bag!  Get used to seeing it, because I am in love!

We went to Pittsburgh to a Pirates game on Sunday.  Our last hurrah of summer before school starts.
Grey Tshirt- Gap
White Shorts- Loft

I started out with this scarf, but it was just too hot.

And this is Mr. 14 Year Old.  You don’t see him much around the blog.  I wanted to show you his Pirate jersey.  This belonged to LC in high school.  I’d say it is circa 1992.  LC told him he could keep it.

I love this top I wore to work on Monday!  I bought it on a website called Twice.  Have you heard of it?  It is an online second hand clothing store, and it has really good name brands.  I recently bought several things there, and all were in great shape and great prices!  You can also sell things, all you have to do is request a bag and they send it to you.  You just fill it up and send it back to them!  If you would like to check it out, you can click this link, and I will get $10 store credit if you make a purchase!

Seersucker shorts-
