What I Wore Wednesday Link Up

Happy Wednesday all!  I have been out of the loop lately, but today, it is time to re-join the What I Wore Wednesday link up over at The Pleated Poppy!  I have been on Christmas break from work, and then we have had the past 4 school days cancelled since break was over, so we have had only one day back to work since before break!

You would think that I would have so many projects done around here, but that is not the case.  I spent a few days taking down all of Christmas, and just trying to get my house back in order.  I did purge Mr. 6 Year Old’s bedroom of 4 trash bags of toys, and one of trash, so that was a big accomplishment.  I went through every single nook and cranny of his bedroom.  And in case you didn’t catch it, yes, he is now Mr. 6 Year Old, not Mr. 5 Year Old!  He had a birthday on December 28.

Needless to say, I have spent many a day lately in my sweats or PJ’s, so not tons to share but here is what I have been wearing lately.

This is LC and I on Christmas day.  Don’t we look pooped?  That is what staying up till 3:45 putting things together, and then being awakened by the kids at 7:00 am on Christmas morning will do to ya!  Ha!  A couple glasses of wine hit the spot!  I was wearing a new sweater that LC bought me, and a new infinity scarf that Miss 17 Year Old and our Swedish daughter bought for me.  Love them both, and apologies that you really cannot tell what the sweater looks like,  But I love it, and you will be seeing it again very soon I am sure.

Next up, we took Mr. 6 Year Old and a friend to Pittsburgh to Build a Bear and to have some fun in lieu of a birthday party.  This is what I wore, and I threw in a couple of pictures of what he wore too.

This is the birthday boy with the puppy he made.

And with his miniature cookie cake.  Look at that sweet face.  I die.  And in case you haven’t tried it, sometimes it is a very good thing to have a day of fun with a friend instead of a party.  Especially for the parents!  Mr. 6 Year Old completely enjoyed it!

This is what I wore on New Year’s Eve.  We just went to dinner (with Mr. 6 Year Old) and to a friends house for a drink.  Low key, but a good time had by all.  I thought New Year’s Eve called for at least a little sparkle.

This was my one day back to work.  Wearing my animal print flats that my mom bought me for Christmas.  I am sure you will be seeing these many more times as well, especially in the spring. When it is this cold out, I just want to feel cozy!

This was a coffee date with a friend.  As a matter of fact the same friend whose house we went to on New Year’s Eve.  This is the outfit I pinned that inspired this outfit.

And just another super casual outfit.  My mom bought me this sweatshirt for Christmas at Forever 21, and I heart it.

Well, that about sums it up.  Super exciting, I know!  I have not been feeling very inspired to get dressed nice lately.  I mean, it is so cold!  It was zero here today, and I am sure it is going to be below zero again tonight.  Today makes the 4th day in a row that we have been off school.  I think I am gonna purge the refrigerator and pantry.  Who is with me?
