What I Wore Wednesday

It is 10:54 on Tuesday night and I have not had dinner.  By now, it is too late to eat.  All I can think about is my cozy bed, snuggling up to my little Mr. 5 Year Old.  But I wanted to get this post out for WIWW.  In case you are new here, I have been participating in What I Wore Wednesday with The Pleated Poppy for quite some time now, and it truly does inspire me to be more innovative and creative with what I wear.  When I have the energy, that is!

BTW, I am squeezing into my pants lately.  This is not a good thing, people.  If I gain any more weight I will not be able to wear my clothes!  OK, I guess it is time to stop eating so much and do something about it.  I have a certain weight I try not to let myself go over, and I am starting to get too close to it, so it is time to start cutting back.  But I am so hungry!  And what happened to the young me who could eat anything she wanted?  I want her back!

I was inspired by an outfit I pinned on pinterest when I put this together.  Great way to help mix up your closet, by the way.

Jeans- Limited
Blazer- Goodwill
Grey T shirt- Urban Outfitters

And here is the picture from Pinterest that I pinned.  Not exactly the same, but not too bad either!  I was happy!

Grey t-shirt, pearls, blazer

This is Miss 17 Year Old and Mr. 5 Year Old at her senior homecoming parade.  The homecoming was a super hero theme this year.  Gorgeous evening for a parade.

Where did I get this lovely necklace, you ask?  Why, I won it in a giveaway hosted by Jennifer at Dimples and Tangles!  So I set out to find something to wear it with.  I kind of liked the way it turned out.  I used black leggings to make this summery dress seem like fall.  I felt comfy in this all day long.

Dress- Gap
Sandals- Urban Outfitters

This is what I wore on Sunday to a family fun day, which I will try to share more about soon.  We were hiking around and getting some exercise.  Gorgeous weather too!  Say hello to Josefine, Mr. 13 Year Old, and Mr. 5 Year Old.

Here is another pinterest inspired outfit.  Pinterest really does help me with the awkward transition between seasons.  I broke out the boots this week.  So glad to have them back in my wardrobe!
Cardigan- American Apparel
Boots- J Crew
Black blouse- Cold Water Creek
Skirt- Gap
Necklace- Forever 21

Here is the Pinterest Pin that inspired the outfit.  Pretty close, huh?
skirt, boots, long cardigan. Perfect work outfit - I could do this...if it

And this is me dressed up for spirit week at my school.  It was superhero day so I broke out the Halloween costume from last year.  Tomorrow is nerd day.
