Just another link up to The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday here! Everything has been business as usual. It goes a little something like this. Go to work at my actual job, run to youth soccer games, high school soccer games, and middle school cross country meets, squeeze in time for a few blog posts per week. Is there time for any housework, laundry, or projects in there? Ha! Life is hard people. I am trying to make it work, but I will be happy when soccer ends!
Things are cooling down around here and I am trying to transition my wardrobe over to fall/winter. No easy task since all of my winter stuff is packed away up in my attic. Small closet, remember. I hate this time of year. And it will take me several weeks to have my closet fully transitioned. I just don’t have the time or the space to get it all down at once, so I usually work on a couple of boxes at a time.
Anyway, this is a little of what I have been wearing lately.
I liked this combination of the black and the polka dots with the stripes. It helped the transition from summer outfit to fall outfit. What do you think? (you can see another way I wore these pants here).
Black cardigan- Loft
Striped shirt- The Limited
Green pants- Burlington Coat Factory
Shoes- Urban Outfitters
Belt- The Limited
This cardigan is something I got out of my winter stash, but I thought it looked cute with this skirt that I will eventually pack away until next summer. I like the pop of turquoise.

I went shopping to Pittsburgh on Saturday. Our annual fall shopping trip. It rained all day so I wore my rain boots. This is the only shot I took of my outfit, sorry. I have worn this chambray shirt so many times. It was not cheap, but it was so worth it! My daughter also borrows it all the time. Half the time, I can’t find it because she has it.
Chambray shirt- Urban Outfitters
Lace blouse- my daughter’s
Black leggings- Banana Republic Outlet
I bought a new pair of Tom’s over the weekend at Urban Outfitters. These burlap ones were marked down, plus I got %30 off all sale items. I love them! My girlfriend who was with me told me she thinks Tom’s are so ugly. I think they are really cute and comfy. What do you think?
Ruffle shirt- J Crew outlet
cargo pants- Gap
Toms- Urban Outfitters
Another example of taking a summer dress and trying to make it work for fall. Not sure I love the look but I did get several compliments while I was wearing it!
Dress- NY and Co. (given to me by my aunt)
Sandals – Aerosoles (Goodwill)
Plaid Flannel- J Crew Outlet
I felt so comfy and cozy all day in this outfit at work!
Corduroy’s- Olive and Oak (TJ Maxx)

That about sums it up! If you would like to see all of my WIWW posts, click here. See you next Wednesday!
