Mixing High And Low In My Home- Guest Post From Life And Home At 2102

I am so happy to be sharing a guest post from a blog that I have recently discovered, called Life and Home at 2102.  It is an interesting way that I discovered this blog.  Vel started following my blog and she would make the sweetest comments on my posts.  She was always commenting, more than any other reader.  So one day I decided to figure out who she was, and lo and behold, she has a fantastic blog.  She has an absolutely gorgeous home.  Trust me, click on over there after you read this post and you will be in for a treat!

Hello to all the lovely readers of Sweet Parrish Place!

I am extremely delighted to be invited by Nicki and be able to share with you some parts of my home.        I'm Vel by the way, and my blog is Life & Home at 2102

Just like Nicki here, I love to go on hunts and try to make them look HIGH end as I can. You be the judge , so let's start, shall we?

Summer console table

Here I used 2 mirrors - the bigger one was a clearance Mirror from HOMEGOODS ($29) with a smaller Jonathan Adler mirror I got from OKL (from regular of $250 to $150).

I also added this grape wood from TJMaxx ($24) with orchids contained inside thrift store Brass containers ($2 each). The console itself was a clearance find from JCPenney for $39!

Living room Media center

Our media center is from good ol' IKEA - All the gold frames you see here are from the DOLLAR TREE. Brass pieces and the Yellow Nate Berkus Box on the right corner are all thrift store scores.
The smaller elephant is from Jonathan Adler Happy home line on clearance from HSN. You may be wondering if there is any high end piece here it all? Probably just the Lladro figurines, mostly gifts and the rest scored at Antique malls too!

And here is the rest of our Living room...
